What self-study needs

A useful answer is not only a translation. Learners need context, register, grammar, relationships between words, examples, recall, correction and repeated use. Traditional dictionaries preserve much of that depth, but often leave the learner to assemble the learning loop alone.

AI can connect those pieces, but only when it is used to generate questions, comparisons, examples and practice—not as a shortcut that removes effort.

A practical loop

Search a word in context; compare meanings; inspect grammar and register; write a personal example; test recall later; use the word in conversation; record mistakes; and revisit them. The product thinking behind Vakav grew from trying to make that loop continuous.
